Cosmic Bliss is looking for a General Manager with an entrepreneurial spirit who is excited to help us build our Scoop Shop division from the ground up. This individual will have full P&L ownership and be responsible for all top-line growth, financial performance, and day-to-day operations of the Scoop Shop.  


We are looking for an individual who can think strategically about how to bring our vision to life while also working shifts at the shop to gain hands on experience. Ideally, this candidate will be a strong team builder with the skills and ambition needed to oversee several shops in the near future. You’ll work closely with a cross-functional team that includes our VP of Retail Strategy, the executive team at Cosmic Bliss, and our HR Manager to launch this exciting endeavor.




  • Ensure profitability by controlling costs and expenditures and operating within agreed upon budgets
  • Ensure safety and security measures are followed, inventory is maintained, labor is managed, financial reports are reviewed, and necessary actions are taken for areas needing improvement.
  • Perform and oversees shop accounting including keeping records of all income and expenses, and managing bank deposits, etc.
  • Provide regular financial reports to management
  • Establish systems and practices in collaboration with QA + Food Safety Manager
  • Establish best-in-class processes to support rapid growth and scale
  • Create SOPs using lean principles, continuously improving processes for maximum success
  • Work with the corporate Marketing Team to perform/oversee the implementation of marketing campaigns
  • Implement and train staff on a Point of Sale system
  • Manage Scoop Shop maintenance as dictated by the lease agreement and required for operation.
  • Supervise day to day activities for the Scoop Team
  • Oversee scheduling, payroll data, employee relations, hiring, onboarding, training, development, evaluation, corrective action and terminations in coordination with other HR and finance team members.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, healthy, and fun shop environment



  • 5+ years of Operations management in the food & beverage industry, preferably at retail food establishments
  • Experience with frozen foods and/or at a startup restaurant/café is a plus
  • Experience leading a team of 10+ people
  • Experience providing and/or overseeing customer service,
  • Experience overseeing maintenance and repairs of restaurant equipment
  • Proficient with inventory management, accounting, point-of-sale and/or ERP program
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, intermediate+ in Excel
  • Familiarity with shift scheduling programs preferred
  • Experience with Employment Law, Policies & Safety, Communication, Adaptability, and Systems Thinking.


Additional expectations:

  • Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; travel by airplane will be required to contribute to opening additional Scoop Shops across the country
  • Must be able to perform a variety of types of work in an environment with moderate to loud noise
  • Can lift and carry up to 60 pounds using safe lifting practices
  • Stand and walk on hard surfaces for several hours
  • Scoop frozen product repeatedly 
  • Work in cold environments such as a walk-in freezer for up to 3 hours at a time
