THE OPPORTUNITY: 

Cosmic Bliss is looking for an Assistant Scoop Shop Manager to act as the soul of our Scoop Shops. They will work to create, motivate, and develop an environment and team to help all those around to find their bliss – guest, team, and community. They will share our story of wanting to create a better planet through Moments of Magic and the joy of sustainability. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

 

  • In partnership with the General Manager the Assistant Manager will recruit, hire, train, supervise, coach, and counsel all team members 
  • Conducts monthly safety meetings to compile shop level safety concerns, acting as the safety officer for the scoop shop 
  • Ensure shop follows all local, state, and federal regulations 
  • Assist in compiling work schedules and reports 
  • Performs all team member duties as needed 
  • Enforce Cosmic Bliss and HumanCo policies and procedures 
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and manage ice cream preparation and sales operations 
  • Place purchase orders for supplies, commodities and associated products and support for the purchase or requisition of retail & food service equipment 
  • Maintain recipes, pricing, and portion control; maintain weekly and monthly reports as required 
  • Compile and filter all Quality Assurance and Innovation ideas from team members to deliver to the Cosmic Bliss R&D (Research & Development) team 
  • Maintain and report to General Manager; temperature logs, receiving logs and packing lists, inventory control logs, Shop Operations Assessments, sales, and waste data 
  • Report Human Resources or Customer incidents to General Manage and/or Human Resources Manager 
  • Performs all Associate and Lead job duties when necessary 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 18 years old or older 
  • Open availability, Monday - Sunday (including afternoons, evenings, weekends & holidays) 
  • 2+ years of food service/retail supervisory or management experience 
  • Experience with 3+ direct reports 
  • A passion for the joy of sustainability and cleaner food systems 
  • Can lift as much as 50 lbs. on occasion 
  • Have a Current Food Handlers card (You can acquire this after you receive a job offer) 
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety management certification preferred
